District Conference

Conference Theme for 2023

“Make My Joy Complete”

Philippians 2:2-5

“Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests, but each of you, to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.”

Covid Protocols

At this time, we will be following all covid protocols for meeting together put out by the CDC and McPherson County, as well as the current policies of both McPherson College and the McPherson Church of the Brethren. Vaccines will not be required to participate, but are strongly recommended.

With the increased numbers in McPherson County and the McPherson Hospital saying the county is a “high risk” area,  Masks will be required whenever inside buildings, except when eating, including childcare, so please be prepared by bringing masks to this event (cloth, surgical KN95 or N95). We want to make sure that all our brothers and sisters who come, feel safe and protected.
The district will also provide masks at registration and in Mingenback.
Thank you for your understanding!

 Celebrate

Happy Birthday to Western Plains District!

Western Plains District is celebrating its 166th birthday this year and we want to celebrate!
Friday evening, July 29, after worship, we invite you to travel over to The Cedars Wellness Center for ice cream and cake to celebrate the 166th year we have officially been a district!

We have also set up “Housing Coordinators” through some of our local congregations, who may be able to offer limited space in various homes.  This will be on a first come, first served basis. Please contact them to find out more:
